Lise Moule
(Alice Byrd)Lise came into acting from the production side of film-making and a career in high technology. She studied acting, screenwriting and film and television production while she raised her young children. After working behind the camera she decided to concentrate on her acting career. She’s been in several feature films besides A Thousand Hills: Skankin’, Awakening: Zombie Night 2, Pros and Cons, Damned, Half Empty and Playing Cards. She has been in numerous short films and music videos. She was also a lead in a Discovery Channel series, We Can Rebuild You. She also does hand modeling and voice-over work and commercials. When she read the script of A Thousand Hills she was delighted to be offered a part in a movie that she would feel good about her kids seeing. She added a great deal to the part as she transformed herself into the artistic Alice, trapped in the struggle to save the farm. Many of her costumes were her own outfits, or clothes that she bought specifically for her part. She donned the role of supportive wife and mother beautifully and was incredibly patient as she waited for other scenes to be shot, using the time to walk the land, pick flowers or ask questions about farm life. Allison was impressed by the small bits of ‘business’ that Lise brought to each scene, making the character and her relationships richer.
