Helen Tong was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario and started performing in theatre and church musicals at a young age. She has studied at various institutions in Toronto such as The Second City and the Equity Showcase Theatre and at New York's the Neighborhood Playhouse and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Tong's interests include travel, swimming, and the culinary arts.

Multi-faceted, Tong can sing, write, speak French and Chinese, play the piano and trumpet and her list of wide-ranging credits include Off-Broadway and Feature Film. Tong has never lived on a farm before, but she has two cats, a tight-knit family, and advocates a greener lifestyle for a brighter future. She enjoyed working on "A Thousand Hills", especially for it's wonderful cast and crew and the magnificent location and hopes to have a successful career in film.
