MARY ALLISON WILMARTH (Director)
Allison Wilmarth's director's spark was first lit in the eighth grade she won a contest to write, produce, direct and act in a skit for the U.S. national drug awareness and education program, DARE. She discovered that bringing to life an idea in her head was an experience that couldn't be beat. This lead to a four-year stint as an assistant theatre manager for the Performing Arts Center in Opelika, Alabama.
During her last year at the theatre, Wilmarth received a one-year internship with a commercial house in Florida, where she developed a love for the medium of film and television. After completing her internship, Wilmarth attended North Carolina School of the Arts where she graduated in 2002 from their Filmmaking Program with a major in Directing.
Following graduation, Wilmarth relocated to Hollywood, CA where she spent two years working on various television series, pilots and theatrical motion pictures. In 2003, she worked as second assistant director on the film, Two Soldiers which received the 2004 Best Live Action Short Academy Award®.
That same year, Wilmarth transitioned to directing and has established herself as a successful commercial director with over three dozen commercials, including several national spots, and five short films under her belt. Her short film Birth of Rebellion received critical acclaim and was accepted at the following film festivals:

Birth of Rebellion also won the "Golden Lion Award" @ UNA/George Lindsey Film Festival in Alabama
In 2005, through a recommendation from a unit production manager on Two Soldiers, Wilmarth was offered the job of director for the independent feature film, A Thousand Hills.
Wilmarth is currently shooting commercials in both Florida and Turks and Caicos and developing her next feature-length project.
